In total, Dr. Barnhart has been involved in more that 60 clinical trials, translational research, and outcomes studies in women's health. He is a graduate of Mount Sinai School of Medicine, and conducted his residency and his fellowship at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
“Kurt served the journal well as our New Media Editor during his term, and it was a natural next step to keep him ‘in the family’ and have him serve as Editor in Chief,” said Samantha Pfeifer, MD, Chair of the ASRM Publications Committee. “His insights and instincts will help drive the future success of Fertility and Sterility.”
Hugh Taylor MD, ASRM President remarked, “On behalf of the Society, I’d like to thank the journal’s outgoing editors Craig Niederberger, MD and Anthony Pellicer, MD for their outstanding work. We are grateful for their service to the Society, and we look forward to their ongoing contributions. We also enthusiastically welcome our new editor to lead the ASRM's flagship journal.”
