Volunteers Needed

The ASRM seeks to promote research in reproductive medicine and biology by facilitating recruitment of patients into US Government-funded clinical studies.

PGD Study Needs Volunteers

The study, funded through the NIH and the Greenwall Foundation, explores issues faced by providers and patients concerning PGD, in order to understand what barriers and facilitators providers (in OB/GYN, genetics, and other fields) and patients face related to PGD use. Our ultimate goal is to develop appropriate educational materials, if needed, for providers, patients and others, and to assess whether any guidelines might be helpful to providers in any ways. We are very interested in understanding and reflecting the perspectives of IVF practitioners on issues that they may face in doing PGD, and what obstacles, if any, might exist that can be addressed to help patients and providers make optimal use of this procedure. The study is strictly confidential, and we offer a small, nominal compensation of $20.The project has been funded through NIH Grant Number UL1 RR024156 from the National Center for Research Resources (NCRR).
